Did you recently request a copy of your medical records or did someone request them on your behalf?

If you answered yes, then this explains why you are receiving an invoice from us.  Healthcare facilities throughout the U.S. partner with Discovery Health Record Solutions (Discovery) to process and fulfill requests for medical records.

How is Discovery involved?

Discovery is under contract with this facility to provide Release of information (ROI) services in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. We are committed to providing you with your requested medical records in an efficient and highly secure manner and want to make sure you understand the process in which your records are provided and the costs associated with obtaining them.

Why did you receive a bill?

Due to the complexity, required security, patient confidentiality, and regulatory steps involved in the process of medical record request fulfillment, known as the Release of Information (ROI) process, there are established fees for providing this service. These fees are established by each state individually, and in some cases are set by your healthcare provider. These fee schedules may have been posted at the facility where you made your request, and you may have acknowledged these charges when signing the authorization to request your records.

How can you pay your invoice?

You have several options available to you to pay your invoice: you may send a check with the remit stub contained on your invoice to the address below, or we will gladly accept a credit card payment over the phone at 678-990-5300, prompt 3.
